In an upcoming episode of the pair’s new BBC reality series, Stacey Solomon appears to clash with husband Joe Swash during a therapy session.

Stacey & Joe kicked off on BBC One in April, with six episodes due to air. A teaser for the next instalment, set to air on 29 April, shows the famous couple participating in a couples therapy session.

Tensions appear to rise between Stacey and Joe, who look unimpressed in the clip. Stacey, 35, tells her husband: “You fail to recognise anything that I’m saying to you.”

Meanwhile, Joe, 43, fires back: “I’ve heard nothing but negative stuff.”

The teaser comes after Joe discussed attending therapy during the latest episode of Stacey & Joe, which aired on Tuesday (22 April).

The EastEnders star spoke to his sisters, Shana and Casie, about therapy, admitting he wasn’t “overly keen” on attending sessions.

“I told you I was going to do it. It’s just, I’m not looking forward to that bit, you know what I mean? I’m on the journey now, so I just need to stick to it,” Joe said. “And hopefully see some changes.”

Joe and Stacey’s BBC series has shown the highs and lows of the couple’s chaotic home life in Essex, where they reside with their blended family of six children.

The couple hasn’t shied away from showing their relationship troubles on screen, arguing over childcare arrangements and disagreeing about parenting rules.

In one tense scene, Joe and Stacey have a row after Joe lets her children eat baked beans on the sofa, leaving behind a mess that Stacey has to clean up.

“Wow. The argument was I came home and thought I’m going to tidy the front room because the front room is a sh**hole and all over my sofa was beans!” Stacey fumed after discovering “10 baked beans” smeared on the couch.

Joe refused to back down, however, telling his wife, “I’m not you! You go on as if you’ve never ever given those kids food in the front room, which would be a lie!”

Joe went on to say Stacey was overreacting before branding her “out of order” because he’d “spent the day looking after the kids.”

The row, which took place over the phone, ended with Joe hanging up while Stacey tearily told the camera that the beans were the “icing on the cake” of all the things she has to “go around and pick up” daily.

Stacey & Joe airs on BBC One on Tuesdays at 8pm. Episodes are available to stream on iPlayer.
