Record-breaking Blood Donation Drive Marks Vemireddy’s Birthday

Nellore: A record 1,260 units of blood were collected in a single day during a mega blood donation camp held at the VPR Convention Centre to mark the birthday of Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy—a milestone in the district’s history.
The camp was organised by the VPR Foundation in coordination with Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy and witnessed participation from youth and political leaders across the district.
The event was conducted in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society, Government Hospital, Nova Blood Bank, and Narayana Hospitals. Medical and safety arrangements were in place to ensure a smooth drive.
Indian Red Cross Society Nellore district branch chairman Vakati Vijayakumar Reddy, vice chairman Ch. Janardhan Raju, and VPR Foundation general manager Ch. Penchal Reddy supervised the camp. The organisers thanked all participants for contributing to the initiative.
