Sara and Ben
Did Sara and Ben say ‘I do’?: They did not!
In Episode 12, Sara arrived on her wedding day saying she felt “lucky” to have met Ben. She gushed about their relationship, praising him for being everything she had hoped for. But her sister, Lisa, was still skeptical considering the couple didn’t align on religion, social justice issues and more topics.
Meanwhile, Ben was equally excited as his fiancée. He mentioned their past discussions about politics and religion and said he didn’t think there was a “hurdle” they couldn’t move past.
When the finale began, Sara revealed she wasn’t confident in a possible future with Ben. After the officiant asked for her response, she said, “Ben, I love you so much. But I’ve always wanted a partner to be on the same wavelength. So today, I can’t.” She added, “I’m sorry but I don’t want that to be misunderstood. I still love you and everything about you is amazing. I care about you so much.”
Ben continued to smile and suggested their stay together and date instead. “We’ll see! We’ll talk about that,” Sara said before hurrying back up the aisle.
While speaking to her mom, Kathy, and sister, Sara revealed that she struggled with “no curiosity coming from his side” whenever they discussed religion or politics. She said that they simply did not fit well together.
Monica and Joey

Did they say ‘I do’?: They did not!
Monica Danus and Joey Leveille matched each other’s energy throughout the entire season. So, they both arrived on their wedding day giddy with excitement. Monica said she was a little nervous, but if Joey said “yes,” then she would be ready to get married. She mentioned to her friends Phoebe and Matt and her concerned sister, Nicolle, that Joey expressed his feelings through his words and not his actions. Monica also said Joey wasn’t romantic.
Joey didn’t appear as nervous as Monica, but he shared with the cameras that he had some concerns. He recalled Nicolle doubting their connection and said he wasn’t sure if his potential sister-in-law was being “genuine” about coming around. He said he would know his decision when he was standing at the altar.
When the ceremony began, Joey longboarded down the aisle before Monica’s parents walked her down the aisle. While reading her vows, Monica said that Joey made her feel comfortable from their first date. He also reflected on their journey, calling Monica “the most beautiful person inside and out.”
Monica was asked to make her decision first and she answered, “I don’t right now.” She said she loved Joey but they needed more time. He agreed and said he wasn’t able to fully commit. Their guests applauded as the two held hands and walked up the aisle together.
“If Joey had told me with his words ‘I am 100% in. It is you. I know it’s you. I’m certain.’ I feel like it could have been a lot different,” Monica explained to the cameras. She said she didn’t feel “chosen” by her fiancé.
As for Joey, he revealed that Monica’s sister and his lack of affection played a role in the decision. He also pointed out that Monica never said she loved him until the moment she rejected him.
Virginia and Devin

Did they say ‘I do’?: They did not!
Virginia Miller was emotional when she spoke in her first confessional interview on her wedding day. She said she could see a future with Devin Buckley and that she loved him. As Devin dressed in his tuxedo, he referred to Virginia as “the love of my life” and said he was ready to spend forever with her. He seemed confident that they would both say “yes.”
When the ceremony began, Virginia cried as her father, Paul, walked her down the aisle. Devin said his vows, sharing that he prayed for God to help him find Virginia. He said he loved her and she was his best friend. He swiftly replied “I do” when asked for his decision.
But Virginia, who continued to weep as she said her vows, did not want to get married. “I love you so much. But I’m just not ready,” she explained.
Devin then began to sob as one of their guests gasped, “What?” Virginia apologized to Devin before repeatedly expressing remorse to her family.
“The worst thing that could have happened, happened, and I just feel kind of lost,” Devin told the cameras.
Virginia revealed in her interview what she wavered on her decision. But, she said she didn’t like that Devin was uninterested in discussing some topics, like politics. “There were just depths of our relationship that we didn’t get to. We just didn’t get there. And even our sexual relationship, we just didn’t get to it,” Virginia said. She added that political differences weren’t a dealbreaker, but the inability to have a conversation about their viewpoints was eye-opening.
Taylor and Daniel

Did they say ‘I do’?: They did!
An instantly emotional Taylor Haag described the experiment as a “whirlwind” during her first interview on her wedding day. Despite the expedited process, she said she had never felt so loved and secure in a relationship.
As Daniel Hastings prepared to walk down the aisle, he received a letter from Taylor that he read to all of his friends. One friend, Jamey, pointed out that he had never seen Daniel so in love before. Daniel also penned a letter for Taylor that he had his mom deliver for him.
Daniel’s sister, Rachel, played the piano and sang Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” as Daniel strolled down the aisle. When the gates inside the wedding venue opened and Taylor appeared, Daniel softly said “wow” and started to tear up as she walked toward him.
He began to read his vows before deciding to go off script. He remembered falling in love with Taylor for the way she processes things and said they became best friends. Taylor, who also wrote her vows, read a journal entry she wrote in July 2020. At the time, she prayed for a husband. She said Daniel was “quite literally an answer to my prayers.” She added that she felt like their souls had known each other for a “lifetime.”
The two happily said, “I do,” becoming the only married couple from “Love Is Blind” Season 8.
“Cheers to the Hastings!” Taylor said as she toasted her husband. The newlyweds said they couldn’t wait to start their next chapter together.
They were last shown celebrating with their friends and family at their reception as Taylor gushed that their love was “effortless.”
